MUNICIPAL SERVICES
The Municipal Office is located at 3740 28 6th Line Amaranth, west of Laurel, northwest corner of County Road 10. The office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.
The Municipal Office and Council Chambers are handicap accessible. The Recreation Hall is handicap accessible, access at the rear of the building. See Recreation for more information.

No change to Waste Collection schedules.

Entry into the Landfill will be a Windshield Sticker issued by the Landfill Site Attendant.
Please note there is no charge for scrap metal, the re-use centre, bale wrap, twine or feed bags. Also, Bale Twine only may be placed curbside on a garbage collection day in feed bags, with sticker or may be deposited in the construction bin, with sticker, at the Landfill Site.
Household garbage is collected curbside only and limited to 104 free bags per year. 104
Stickers will be issued in December of each year to put on your bags.
If you require more stickers ~ they can be purchased for $1.00 per
sticker. See Landfill for more information.

USED TIRE COLLECTION
Residents of AMARANTH may drop off their used tires, any kind, up to 4 per visit,
OFF THE RIM, at the landfill site during business hours- NO CHARGE !

Waste Management in the County
Waste management responsibilities within the County of Dufferin are divided between the County and the eight local municipalities. Local municipalities are responsible for garbage, recycling , yard waste, and large item pick-up.
The County manages the DUFFERIN COMPOSTS! Organics Program, Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Goods Recycling Event Days, the Take It Back! Product Stewardship Program, as well as other initiatives that further reduce the amount of waste being landfilled.
